This week we've added a link to the message Dennis did for the Cedarville Chapel last Thursday. It is about "The Ethics of Homosexuality".

We will add some material from his discussion Sunday morning later this week.

Remember, you are welcome to leave comments on the Blog.

This Sunday we had 52 in class. We had two visitors; Georgene and Hilma. Be sure to welcome them when you see them again. We still have some of our group away but some will be returning within the next week or two.

PRAYER ITEMS

  • Don R's mother died last night. She is with our Lord but pray for the family.
  • Lynn P updated us that the small child (niece of friend) is improving and should develop normally. Praise the Lord for answered prayer!
  • We also received a message from the Nims that their grandson, Shaun, is improving and does not need immediate surgery. Pray for continued improvements and that the necessary surgery will go well.
  • Paul B asked for prayer concerning a family forgiveness issue. Also, his daughter will be moving back home.
  • Dan, the Cedarville student who had the spinal injury during the Mexico MIS trip, is paralyzed. His spinal injury has been labeled as “complete” meaning it will take a miracle for his total recovery. Our course, our great physician is capable of "completely healing" Dan. He does desire to complete his education. You can also follow his progress at his Blog.
  • Jane L’s father, Colin H, may be moved from Miami Valley Hospital to a nursing home for rehab. Pray for his health and for his wife, Mercedes, also.
  • Jerry reported some improvement in the spasms in his back.
  • Nancy continues to improve after her knee replacement. She was in class with us on Sunday.
  • Larry Smith wanted to join knee replacement clan and had surgery this past Thursday. He has been up and has begun therapy. He is probably home by now. He plans to be here for our missions conference (and class dinner).
  • Cedarville University is anticipating a protest group of homosexuals on campus this April 19th. Pray for a peaceful time and also for the spiritual conviction and salvation of these marchers.
  • Continue to pray for our missionaries and service men and women in the Middle East.

CLASS NOTES

Dennis discussed the “Body of Jesus” as discussed by Paul in I Cor. 15:35-49. The people asked “how are the dead raised; and with what kind of body?

Next Sunday we will have the choir Cantata during both services and there will be no ABFs or evening service. Use this as an opportunity to invite family and friends.

The week after “Resurrection Sunday” Dennis will be joined by Dave Denlinger for a discussion on Heaven. This should be another interesting topic.

The two Sunday services blended perfectly with our Ambassadors ABF discussion. Dr. Drullinger continued his three sermon series on “I walked today where Jesus walked!” Pastor Rich McGhee and his daughter, Hannah, did a dramatization and sermon on “He touched me!” If you missed any of these you can still hear them at the WHBC website. Click this link for the list of sermons and links.

THINGS TO REMEMBER

We had a sign-up sheet to prepare Boxed Lunches for the mission conference. There will be a series of “Power Lunches” and our responsibility is for the 25th. Karen or Barb will be contacting those of you who volunteered. We actually had an over-abundance of volunteers.

Remember our dinner date with missionaries (and Ambassador Class members) Larry and Bev Smith on April 28. The Darkows have offered their home for this event. We will also include the rest of the mission work team for dinner since our class members were a significant part of the team. We had food a sign-up sheet and will send it around again before the 28th. Don’t forget what you signed up for. We will have a map to the Darkows home next time we meet.
