Ambassadors Notes for the week of June 24th
I purposely posted this later than normal because we will not have a class-time July 1st. Be sure to get any prayer requests and updates to me by phone or email and I will provide an email with this information.
Only one person has figured out our mystery person of the week for last week. Any more guesses? I will post another photo after July 1st. Please send or give your photos to me. Otherwise, I will assume there is no interest and will discontinue this feature.
John Burkard substituted as our teacher last Sunday and shared from his heart about “How aught we to live”. See below for more on this.
In the morning Celebration service Pastor Kisner preached on “Our identity and unity as the body of Christ”. The choir also presented a beautiful piece called “I choose Jesus”. You can find these on the Church Website here.
June 24th in the evening we had a very good turnout to vote concerning the building program. The vote was 89% in favor of going forward with the new building. This means we will have ground breaking Sunday, July 1st at 10 AM; there will be only one service in the morning with no ABFs. This will be a special time of praise and honoring our country and those who serve. We will also have communion and a ground breaking ceremony for the new building project. See the entire list of events for July 1st here!
The King’s Brass and Tim Zimmerman will bring the evening service. Come prepared to be blessed during both services. BTW: I heard via the grape vine that Dick O’Neil provided a name for the building project, “Big Foot”. This was based on Pastor Kisner’s devotional this evening from Joshua 1:1-6.

Class Bible Study
June 24th we turned to II Peter 3. John asked “How we as Christians should live”. Our members listed a large number of attributes and John listed the following:
- Great Commission (reaching others)
- Peacemaker (sermon on the mount – Rom. 12:18)
- Love one another (I John 2:10)
- Live in Unity (fits with the morning sermon)
- Take care of the widows and orphans (James 1:27)
- Do not love the world
- Care for one another
- Pray
- Live a blameless life
Reminder: I forgot to bring this up in class -- but please don’t forget to contact either David Darkow or myself if you can help with the painting project for the Smiths in July! Right now it looks like the majority of those interested in helping would like to do it around the middle of the month.
