Ambassodor Notes from Sunday, July 22

Thanks to Sandy for keeping up with the prayer requests and notes while Nancy and I were away for a week and extended weekend.

Prayer List:
  • It was great to hear that Jerry is recovered enough to be back with us this Sunday. Keep praying for his full recovery.
  • This is the week-end for Week-end of Champions so please pray for that. Several members of our class are going (Paul, Roger B, Lou, Rudy, Hallie, Jim W).
  • We are rejoicing in that our friend made back into Vietnam safely but continue to pray as the for his continued safety.
  • Pray for Todd and Dawn because quite a few people of faith have been expelled from China.
  • Jan Rakestraw, who is known to many in our class, will have back surgery on the 25th.
  • Judy and Steve have departed for the Middle East. Please pray about their trip and that they will be a real encouragement to family there.
  • Georgia thanked the class for flowers and asked us to continue to pray for her husband's salvation.
  • Dan M, who has visited our class for the past two weeks, needs a job. He lost his job due to downsizing. He works with computer software.
  • Ozella's brother-in-law came through surgery and is doing well!
  • Continue to pray for Tony and Betty.
  • Pray for the Sullivans in Scotland. It is a beautiful country and full of history but can often be a 'wee bit' wet!
  • Continue to pray for Lindsay. She us undergoing another series of treatments. See our church website for more information about her and how to get tickets to a special Dragons game where she will be featured.

John Burkard will be teaching the next couple of weeks.

I will try to add another "Guess Who" sometime this week. However, this is the last photo I have. I can use more of these if you wish to see more. Otherwise, I will resort to taking photos of you in embarrassing moments!

This past weekend was a great one. We all had a good time of fun and fellowship together Saturday evening as we gathered for our annual Christmas celebration. The food was way to plentiful and good! I know I am not the only one to over-eat! I think it was John who is the new owner of the golden goose! But this wasn’t the only weird gift to be won. Ask Rosalinda about her jeans! These photos were provided by Bob Lawson. Thank you Bob! Can you believe, I didn’t even bring a camera? Many thanks to Mark Averitt also; for arranging for the Community Center for our use. It was perfect for our needs. Sunday was also another good time together as a class. John and Sandy gave us a “ Long and Short of it ” showing of their trip to Israel. Ambassadors ABF Notes for May 20th

Naiya Symone Simpson This Sunday was a little different for us; two weeks in a row, now. Dennis is still under the weather with a chest cold or something giving him pain. Please pray for him. Last Sunday we were fortunate to have Larry Smith give us an update taking most of our class time. This week, we spent the majority of the time doing prayer requests and praying. I think these times are especially good and they are pleasing to our Lord. I know I personally get more out of a prayer time like this. Anyway, instead of our normal dog on pony show with myself, John, and Roger Brandt plus Dennis before you, everyone was stuck with the dog, ME! Visitor We had a long distance visitor with us this Sunday. His name is Charles. He is an ESOL Student of Barb Sullivan’s and comes all the way from North Central China. Ambassadors Class Game Night (05/09/2008)

Friday evening, May 9th, we had a game night in the church for our class. We all played table games and ate snack foods. I would have liked to see more in attendance but I know that this Mother’s day weekend may have posed problems for some. As you can see from the photos below, we played a variety of games. Good times for fellowship and discussion. But, someone must be the expert to explain the rules. Hmmm, looks like our lawyer is examining the evidence! Watch out! This one will hurt! Hey!
