Ambassadors ABF Notes for the Week of December 2nd

I’ve changed the format a bit and will include the prayer items and other personal information only in the email. If you are not on our email list and would like to be included, please contact me. This new format will avoid repeating the information in both the email and this Blog and also provide a little better privacy here.

As always, we had a great time fellowshipping and in God’s word this Sunday.

John’s Israel Report

John Entner reported briefly on their trip during the Thanksgiving period to Israel. It sounds like the trip of a lifetime. I will go someday but not sure if it will be before the “New Jerusalem”. I’m anxious to see a slide show of this trip. What do the rest of you think of this idea? Here are a couple of photos to whet your appetite.

ABF Bible Study

Dennis continued our study, under short time constraints. This week we discussed John chapter 4 and the “Woman at the Well”. Dennis mentioned that she was skeptical about what Jesus said but wanted to hear more. He made an interesting comparison of this event and the way many “Seeker Churches” work today. Interest is generated but the deal is not closed. Fortunately, in this Woman’s case, Jesus helped her to see that she had a problem and a need. See John 4:16.

Dates to Remember

  • Dec. 4 – Ladies Cozy Tea at the Darkow’s with speaker Wendy Kisner
  • Dec. 8 – Ambassadors Christmas Party at the Deer Run Community Center at 6PM
  • Dec. 11 – YAH program and luncheon. This is a good opportunity to minister to others.
  • Dec. 15 – Medicare Q&A Session with Dave Darkow 9 to 11 AM in Co-Laborers room. Sign up for this in the office or foyer next week.
  • Dec. 15 and 16th – Christmas Cantata (no ABF on Sunday)
  • Dec. 19 – All Church Caroling – this would be a great way for our class to serve together
  • Dec. 23 – Gifts for Christ unified service (no ABF)

Guess Who

The last Guess Who was John Burkard.

I don’t have any more photos to post. If you have a fun photo that we could use to stump our group, please give it to me. I can scan a photo and return it to you.

Miami Valley Women’s Center Christmas Project

We purchased gifts for a mom and three kids and delivered those to the Women’s Center. I will post their response on our bulletin board when I receive it.

Sunday AM Service

This Sunday the “God’s Kids Choir” gave a mini concert. These kids are kindergarten age and gave an excellent presentation.

Pastor Kisner continued his series on the E-Verbs. This week he again continued the section of Romans on Redemption and discussed Victory. See Romans 5:12-21

You can hear the entire message HERE.

Sunday PM Service

The kids from First through Sixth grades presented a musical called “Angel Alert” – the night that heaven came down. This was another very well done presentation. I think we have some great talent for our adult choir some day.
