Samaritan Purse - Operation Christmas Child

Saturday, November 8th we had our annual Samaritan’s Purse Shoebox packing day. Of course we couldn’t do this without having an excuse for breakfast. There were thirty of us, including a few grandchildren. I think we packed between 35 and 40 shoeboxes. Like I said, we needed an excuse for breakfast. There was plenty to eat and enough of us to dig in! The meal time was a good time for fellowship. I had difficulty deciding how to caption this photo. It is easy to see that Don is contemplating the teddy bear; but I don’t know why Jerry is cooling his strawberries. After breakfast, it was time to go to work. Some worked alone, others worked in pairs, while Mark seems to be just enjoying the coffee and the spectacle of others at work. Of course, Bev enjoyed giving instructions. Or perhaps this is just proof that us guys need supervision when it comes to wrapping creativity. No matter what we were doing, everyone seemed to have a good time while we were providing for others less fortun...
