2017 Christmas Party
It has been far too long since we have posted in this Blog! Sorry about that. Other responsibilities got in the way, I think. :-) But, that is changing, so maybe we can do better about keeping this updated. At least, we will have one post for this year!
Friday, December 1, we had our annual Christmas Party. The past several years we have enjoyed having a Potluck Dinner at the Deer Run Community Center. We start with a time of fellowship with soft drinks, coffee and chat. Then begins the serious stuff of eating!

Of course, we're not just about eating! We also sang carols (we won't embarrass anyone by publishing the music)! But, we also mixed in some of our feature Christmas activity, the White Elephant gift exchange or free-for-all! Actually, mostly it is seeing who can get some good sweet stuff, while keeping way from the Goose.
The goose part may not make sense, in this photo series, because I did not capture that as a photo. But, every year we have bad gifts of our traditional goose parts. Who ever gets it must be sure that it returns, next year!
This year, Lou did a awesome job of drawing the numbers, so the rest of us could laugh at each other as we selected the "gifts" some good and some gags! It became most interesting when someone decided they wanted to take something that another member had already selected. A few items changed hands almost every round!
Don, our fearless leader, got to lead off. Sometimes leading isn't the best thing to do! Actually, I think Don ended with the Goose beak and feet!
Good time for a carol!
Nancy got the prize for best hat!
So, Annie took a Selfie!

Here's Nancy and her prize Hat again!
I think is is fair to say everyone had a great time.
Thanks to those who organized this. Hope to have everyone return, next year!
