Ambassadors Labor Day Week Notes

This is a much shorter message than normal. We did not have our normal ABF meeting last Sunday but gathered together for the services and picnic in Leonard E Stubbs Memorial Park. I took a lot of photos during services and the picnic and will take this opportunity to show some of them.
I know I was blessed by the services and the ministry of Tom Mahairis and his daughter (Anastasia Pothoven). The messages in Anastasia’s songs were touching. Of course, the testimonies of all of the Mahairis family were very powerful in demonstrating the love of our Lord and his willingness that all should be saved. They all came from the depths to salvation.

We had a very good turnout for our picnic in the park. There were about 60 of us in the shelter area and several of our members were there elsewhere with family members. I want to thank everyone who provided food and those who assisted in getting the shelter ready. David Darkow provided several of the tables and assisted with setting up and Jerry Seevers also arrived early to help with the set up. The food was delicious and surprisingly, to me, everything was well balanced between, meats, veggies, salads and deserts. Well done!

I was also pleased to see a good number of visitors. I didn’t get to meet everyone so will not even attempt to say who was there.

Birthdays

  • Dan L - Sept. 2
  • Rudy S - Sept. 9
  • Diana W - Sept. 16
  • Barb S - Sept. 16

Prayer Items:

  • Remember to pray for Dan W. He left for Togo last weekend to do a survey and potential design for a new hospital and needs prayer during his work and stay there. It was great to see his dad in the Celebration in the Park. George W is one of our old-timers and has been having some health issues lately. Pray for George.
  • Lindsay Arlt has finished her 6th round of Chemo and will be getting blood Thusday in preparation for the start of the next round.

  • It was also good to see Betty at the picnic she needs our continued prayer.

  • Pray for David Spradling (missionary to the Jewish people in Cincinnati). He he had part of his large intestine removed on the 5th. He came through it very well but will be suffering some intense pain.

  • As we look forward to our Global Focus seminar this weekend, pray God will use this concentrated time to strengthen our mission and prepare us for what He has in store for us as a Body.
